Darrel D. Ryland founded the Ryland Law Firm in 1978 as a sole practitioner.
He practices primarily in personal injury, auto, truck, motorcycle accidents, and wrongful death claims. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1974 and also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; and the U.S. District Court, Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana.
Darrel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Louisiana State University in 1971. He earned his law degree (Juris Doctor) from Louisiana State University in 1974.
In addition, he was a member of the Honor Society: Phi Beta Kappa and was also named an Outstanding Young Man of America, 1975-1976. Darrel served as Assistant District Attorney in the 12th Judicial District Court, President and Chairman of the Board and legal counsel for The Union Bank, Board of Directors for Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, Avoyelles Parish Counsel on Aging, Chairman of the Avoyelles Chapter of American Red Cross, President, and Board of Directors of Marksville Chamber of Commerce, and on the Board of Directors at Alexandria Country Day School in Alexandria, LA.
