With LSUA being an important part of Darrel Ryland’s education, he wants to provide that experience for others.  The scholarship’s goal is to target local students because he believes that when students earn a four-year degree from LSUA, they will be more likely to stay in Central Louisiana, find a good job, and contribute to the community.

The scholarship is designed to provide aid to any Louisana high school with a preference for students from Avoyelles Parish. Open to students of any discipline that have shown academic ability and perseverance that may need financial aid.
